We’re over the moon to be officially crowned Best City in the World for overall happiness, beauty, food, and culture. These were the Time Out scores:

Happiness: 97% reported that Cape Town makes them happy
Food: 95% praised the restaurants and food. [Note: Cape town also voted best City In The World for Food (Conde Nast 2024)]
Culture: 89% loved the vibrant cultural offerings, including arts, performances, and live music
Access to Nature: 83% appreciated the easy access to nature and green spaces
Beauty: 82% described the city as beautiful
Overall Vibe: 82% loved the city’s overall vibe
Nightlife: 77% were enthusiastic about Cape Town’s nightlife…

These factors, combined with Cape Town’s unique attractions, including world-class wines, Blue Flag beaches, the African penguin colony, and iconic landmarks such as Table Mountain and Kirstenbosch – contributed to its top ranking.
